Hello again. TV shows.

Hi, This week let’s look at one of my all time favorite shows. Law and Order SVU. Millions of people, I’m sure, watch this show. They show us stories about sexcrimes and the detectives who try to solve them. The show, I believe, has stood the test of time because they show stories that do not conform to the belief that sex crimes can only happen to women. It is a very good show.

What they don’t take into account is that some of us know how long it takes to get a DNA match, or a fingerprint analysis, or even a toxicology screening. And believe me when I tell you, it’s more that the few minutes that they show. I realize that those few minutes actually translates to a few hours, but use your common sense. From personal experience I know that a tox screening takes six to eight weeks, not six to eight hours. And a DNA match would take even longer. I know this is just my opinion, but in my opinion it would be a little more believable if the characters maybe changed clothes more often so as to allow the viewers to believe that days had gone by.

Having said that, the men and women who play those characters, like Mariska Hargitay for one have joined others associated with joyfulheartfoundation.org. This is a wonderful organization whose sole vision is “A community with no sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse” and their mission is “To heal, educate and empower survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse and to shed light into the darkness that surrounds these issues.”

Having been a victim of domestic violence myself, I can think of no better organization to attach myself to. They need all the help they can get. Please, visit their site. Give whatever you can. Maybe someday our children or grandchildren will be able to wake up to a world without the sexual assaults, domestic violence and child abuse that some of us know all to well.

Thank you all for reading and allowing me into your homes, computers, wherever.  My hope is that when you’re watching a television show like Law and Order SVU you will spot the mistakes and maybe take a minute or two and jot them into the reply section of this website.

THANKS AGAIN…ANGELINE

WELCOME

My name is Angeline, and I have always believed that truth is the most important thing in life. To always be truthful with others and more importantly to always be truthful with yourself.

And, that’s why I’m here. I’m going to tell you the truth about absolutely everything. I will give that little voice of reason that you hear, and normally ignore, that asks the questions …what, when, where, why and how the answers that it desires

Have you ever watched a TV commercial, TV show, movie and wondered about something in it? Like I think they made a mistake there. Have you ever seen something advertised in a magazine and wondered if it was worth it? Have you ever watched somebody on TV and wondered if they were telling the truth?

Well, wonder no further, I will tell you.

But, before you wonder if this site is only going to be another frivolous and somewhat childish blog.  It’s Not! I want to try to teach y’all how to spot a liar, someone trying to take advantage of you, take you for granted. I want to teach y’all  to say at exactly the moment you need to say something to defend yourself. I hope to reach you to show you that there is someone out here like you, so you can learn how to spot those moments when you are susceptible or maybe vulnerable to con artists in your everyday lives. Because Lord knows I wish I had somebody to teach me these things a long time ago.

I will tell you what I know,  what I know and more importantly how I found out.

So, please follow me as we go down this rabbit hole together. are you ready?  Till next time when I take a look at the mistakes in one of my favorite movies. Hopefully I’ll open your eyes and you will start watching your favorite movies a little closer too.

See ya then,

Angeline
